How To Clean Spray Gun After Slick Sand

cleaning gun from slick sand
Hi everyone
I've only ordered some slick sand, on advice from y'all. I take a 2.2 tip on my defended primer gun so I think I'm all prepare. I've heard some comments about making sure to exercise a good job on gun cleaning but haven't heard about what solvent works all-time. Is acetone suggested? regular multi-purpose solvent? something else? I checked the tech sheet but it really didn't say much.
Thanks

I dont use Slick Sand but I spray Feather Fill up and I retrieve they are similar. I make clean the gun with lacquer thinner or acetone, whichever i I have on manus at the moment. They both work. The thing with the Slick Sand or Plumage Fill is that they dont wash off easily. The production wants to stick to the gun unlike paint that dissolves and washes abroad easily. You need more than aggressive castor work to clean the gun. Then there is the fact that they both harden quite fast and then get the gun cleaned as shortly equally you lot are done. Promise that helps.

Thanks Bob, that does help. The thing that has me wondering is, according to the product info..
Use a primer gun with a 2.0 or larger fluid nozzle/air cap (Spray at paint gun Apply ii-3 medium wet coats allowing 10-15 minutes flash time between coatsIt's also recommended to non let the SS stay in the gun for longer than 30 minutes. Does that not mean that you have to exercise 3 different mix-ups if you lot desire three coats? That seems kinda like a pain but clearly if it shouldn't be in the gun for longer than 30 minutes ...
thoughts?

You tin do 2 coats with a short fourth dimension between just I would respect the xxx minutes in the gun. I dont want yous to think its an extremely difficult task cleaning the gun, because information technology isnt, it's only a footling harder than cleaning paint unless you await too long. I do clean the gun when I am spraying a lot of filler. I did several sessions when I sprayed my trailer. That was to big of a task to just keep going mixing more than batches and letting the gun go. I stopped and cleaned it between batches just I worked possibly an hour on the matter. A quick clean while the stuff is liquid is a minor project. Wait also long and its a job youll regret.
